Entry Rules

The SOS Beauty Awards is a constant work in progress and we reserve the right to update the rules on an annual basis to reflect lessons learned from previous years and also changes in the industry.

SOS Beauty Application Process Notes

Please read the following instructions carefully:

  • The SOS Beauty Awards will take place from 6.30pm on Saturday the 24th of May 2025 at the Hilton by Deansgate in Manchester

  • All entrants need to be aware that to qualify as a finalist you must make every effort to attend the award ceremony. It’s just no fun when winners aren’t there on the night to collect their awards, it spoils the atmosphere for everyone who has paid to attend. So please make sure you can commit to attending.

  • If you have purchased the entry for a friend or colleague, please ensure that they are available for the award ceremony night, before proceeding.

  • You must pay an admin fee for each category that you enter, each application form has different questions. You can enter in as many categories as you like. Entries close on the 31st of January, we must have your completed form by midnight. Any forms received after this date won’t be accepted.

  • Both entry fees and ticket fees are non-refundable so please consider this before applying. We have admin staff to pay to process applications and also venue charges once we get to the point of confirming places for guests so we are unable to offer any refund.

  • Along with your application, you can upload up to 3 images of your work (non-photoshopped) and 2 testimonials from clients/newspapers etc. If you submit more than this our team will select 3 pictures out of those sent, so it is best you chose your favourite 3. Photo collages will not be accepted unless they are before and afters of the same client,

  • Please add as much detail to your entry as possible to give our judges the best insight into your business and why you should win the award. Any aspect of your business where you go above and beyond, please tell us about it! Your answers are being compared to those of other entrants, so you need to stand out. For more information about what judges look for please check out this interview with founder Faye Finaro and Insync Insurance

  • We do not have a social voting round for the simple fact that not everyone has huge followings, someone may be in business for 20 years and have repeat customers therefore doesn't feel the need to promote online, whereas a new business could have obtained 20k followers. The number of followers doesn't tell us about that businesses ethics and standards etc that is what your application form is for.

  • Judges all score the nominations independently and they are not aware of other judges scores, so please do not contact them or our admin support, to ask them what the outcome is as this is unfair, and they don’t know themselves until the night.

  • Each category for 2025 will have a specialist judge and judges will be required to declare any conflicts of interest in their category. We may request additional judges to support with scoring categories as and when we feel necessary.

  • The top 10 for each category will be announced on the 28th of February 2025, the same day that tickets go on sale. Tickets are first come first serve so if you want to attend the awards, please don’t leave it until the last minute.

  • All tickets will be a standard rate of £150, this will include: Entry to the event, 3 course meal, welcome drinks, gift bag, opportunity to have a red carpet photo and video interview, these are optional so if you would like the photo's please ensure you head to the red carpet area.

  • All results are final, if you don’t get selected as a finalist, please do not contact the team arguing, just re-enter next year. We have a huge number of applicants, and we cannot give everyone individual feedback.

We look forward to receiving your entry and we hope to see you at the finals in June next year!

Please return by midnight on the 31st of January 2025 to
